Of the wilderness...

"All America lies at the end of the wilderness road,
and our past is not a dead past,
but still lives in us.
Our forefathers had civilization inside themselves,
the wild outside.
We live in the civilization they created,
but within us the wilderness still lingers.
What they dreamed, we live,
&
what they lived, we dream".

my kitchen table...

So many wonderful things happen at this table.  It is the place where I write, create, bead, draw, read, open gifts, open mail, rest flowers, study, wine & dine.  It is the heart of my home.  It is my studio.  It is the heart of my creative soul.  It is a gathering place for love, for friends & for family.  It opens long & wide like a welcoming smile.  It is weathered & cracked but as solid as a heart of gold.  It is my field of dreams and my mountain high, my shelter and my escape.  It is my domain. My kitchen table is everything to me.

i dream...

+++

+++

Jump up from ice cold water
slip down from salt stained sky
Broken Brights drifts across my silence
wild horses cloud my eyes
+
Deep within a red rock canyon
echoes of my soul i dream
lifted up on a mandolin wind, my river
love steals me way downstream
+
Voices of my soul it seems
rise up from the deep holy water
slip down from the vast sacred sky
River Love drifts across my silence
wild horses cloud my eyes &
wild horses cloud my eyes.
